Pain Management Physician - Napa Pain Institute
<p><b>Napa Pain Institute (NPI) is the premier Pain Management practice in Northern California. We are looking for an experienced physician to help us continue our growth as an industry-leading practice.</b></p>
<p>Established in 1992, the practice also includes an integrated Ambulatory Surgery Center and a licensed Clinical Laboratory. NPI is also deeply involved in clinical research and in the development of new therapies for the treatment of chronic pain and neurologic conditions.</p>
<p>Our practice is based on a model of long-term care of chronic conditions, providing diagnostic services, care coordination, and interventional procedures for more than 22,000 patient visits per year. The practice manages several hundred neuromodulation devices, and is a regional and national leader for this therapy. </p>
<p>This is a partnership track position for the right candidate, who must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Management. It is a premier position in an established and successful practice with ample opportunities for clinical mentorship and career advancement. </p>

<li>Must possess a California Medical License</li>
<li>Must possess a valid DEA License</li>
<li>Board Certified Physician in Pain Management</li>
<li>Minimum 1-year experience in general surgery</li>
<li>Substantial experience with device implantations</li>
<li>Strong skills in fluoroscopy and ultrasound-guided interventional strategies</li>
<li>Focus on whole patient care</li>
<li>Strong commitment to long-term patient care</li>
<li>Thoughtful leadership, team play, and communication skills</li>
<li>Leadership experience</li>
<li>Able to maintain positive, productive and professional relationships with fellow employees and business line managers</li>
<li>Working understanding and familiarity with current pain management literature</li>
<li>Desire to be involved in clinical research and therapy development</li>

<li>Report directly to the Manager of Clinical Operations</li>
<li>Takes direction from the Medical Director and the CEO</li>
<li>Take a significant role in determining the strategy, direction and growth of NPI</li>
<li>Understand current trends in neuroscience and pain management research</li>
<li>Work with other business unit leaders, including the Neurovations Clinical Research team, Clinical Education Manager, BioSkills Laboratory Manager, Marketing Manager, Surgery Center, and Financial Team</li>
<li>Present clinical topics and case studies to the clinical team, and community Physicians and health care providers</li>
<li>Development of new patient referrals and community awareness of our services</li>
<li>Commitment to helping all parts of our organization succeed</li>

<li>Outpatient consultations and follow-up evaluations</li>
<li>Inpatient consultations and follow-up evaluations</li>
<li>Coordination of Care with other community Physicians and health care providers</li>
<li>Pharmacologic management of pain and related conditions</li>
<li>Spinal and peripheral interventional procedures and injections guided by ultrasound and fluoroscopy</li>
<li>Trial procedures for implanted infusion pumps and neurostimulation</li>
<li>Surgical implantation of intrathecal infusion pumps and neurostimulation systems</li>
<li>Refilling, reprogramming and long term management of neuromodulation devices</li>
<li>Teaching, mentoring, and supervising mid-level practitioners</li>
<li>Providing hope, compassion, and sound medical advice to our patients and our community</li>
